Peter the Donkey with a friend |
Fallowfield offers five weeks of unique day camp every year. Each week we select a horse related theme (Knights and Damsels, Wild West, etc.). All our learning activities revolve around our theme building up to a fantastic parents’ show at the end of the week. We have designed armor, choreographed trick riding shows, practiced jousting and hosted a Wild West Show. Early in the week the kids dream up what they want to produce, and we help them make it happen.
Our riding program is designed to accept any rider from the ages of 6 – 14. Beginners will get a great start, and intermediate to advanced riders will get loads of experience. Riders are welcome to bring their own horse or pony to camp.
Campers are assigned their horse or pony on our first day of camp. They are highly supervised for the rest of the week to care for their pony. We encourage them to take on all the responsibilities of pony care, as though it was their pony for a week!
Day campers ride twice a day in lessons suited to their ability level. Beginners ride in a private setting, and more advanced riders join in a group. All of our lessons are taught by certified coaches. We accept a maximum of only ten kids per week so we can maintain a 4 to 1 supervision ratio.
